The Badlands were hard to paint because they are so monochromatic. That doesn't in anyway make them boring. we've been back several times because there is something alluring in the huge vistas, bison herds, fossils, and Big Horned Sheep. We had a marvelous view of the bison herds moving like waves from our boondocking (dry camping) spot on the famous "wall" near the park.
